David Max
David Max is a songwriter, singer, guitarist, recordist and producer of space-based musics since 1989.
As a freshman at New York University in 1989 David met Nick Kramer. The two became inspired through mutual love of psychedelics and sounds. They began to make music. The band was called HIT.
In 1990 David met Todd Parker and joined the band Tadpoles, as bass guitarist. This lead to the hiatus of HIT.

Tadpoles, 1991
Tadpoles released many albums, including Far Out, on Bakery Records in 1996 that received a 4-star review in Rolling Stone magazine, April 1996. After going on indefinite hiatus in 2000, David split from Tadpoles and began to make recordings.
David, Nick and Tadpoles drummer Adam Boyette began MicroRiot Music in 2001. MicroRiot was a recording and project studio based on Houston St., NYC, later moving to Jersey City, NJ. It was used to record new HIT material as well as other exciting and special sounds. Sonic Boom, Psychic TV, Dean & Britta, Cheval Sombre, Gibby Haynes, Nick Zinner, Cupids, and HIT have all recorded there with David.
In 2004, David was asked to join Genesis P-Orridges metamorphosing and genre-hopping band Psychic TV as sole guitarist. Psychic TV, or as the renamed PTV3, went on to release 2 albums, Hell is Invisible, Heaven is Her/e and Mr. Alien Brain vs. the Skinwalkers. Many U.S. and European tours followed, playing to sell-out crowds. David co-wrote much of PTV3s original material and greatly influenced the re-imagining of the older, classic Psychic TV material into a new form. Monstrous and delicate, experimental and pop, psych rock and dance, this new PTV3 would go on to deliver incredible live multi-sensory psychedelic happenings with David providing electric accompaniment. PTV3 continue to record and tour the world.

David Max, Live w/PTV3, 2009
In April 2008, David moved to Basel, Switzerland. There he completed Simple Psychedelic Pleasures, his first solo album. SPP is comprised of 10 original songs and 3 covers including Nick Caves The Ship Song. Appearing on the album are Genesis P-Orridge (Psychic TV/PTV3), Eddie Odowd (Psychic TV/Toilet Boys) and Adam Boyette (Tadpoles, HIT). Simple Psychedelic Pleasures will be released in Fall 2009 on Mind Expansion Records, and will be distributed digitally by Red Eye USA.
2008 also saw the release of 13 Most BeautifulSongs for Andy Warhols Screen Tests, a Dean & Britta recording. These were recorded as accompaniment to a selection of Andy Warhols famous screen tests. The piece recorded for Edie Sedgwicks screen test is a David Max co-composition entitled It Dont Rain in Beverly Hills. It is an official Andy Warhol Museum release.

Davids journey as a psychedelic sonic seeker is ongoing. As he puts together his new band, David Max and the Sons of the Void true and free, he will make music and entertain, like the cosmic jesters that have preceded him. Forced to make himself a target of ridicule, and perhaps, an assistant to a future of the human.
